Katie Houck's PledgePage

My name is Katie and I am the Grand Bethel Representative to Alaska, North Carolina, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Kentucky and Illinois.
In 1997 I lost a friend and family member. Charlie Blankenship was a wonderful simple life man who made fried potatoes, and loved movies. He fought for our country. He loved life.
Charlie lived with my family, but in 97 he passed away. He died of AIDS.
It doesnt matter that Charlie wasnt gay, people think that is the only way that people die from AIDS. He wasn't a drug user either.
In Charlie's memory I decided to make my service project for my Honored queen term Camp Sunrise.
Camp Sunrise is a camp for children 6-17 who are impacted by HIV.
My goal is to raise enough money for one child to go to camp. The cost for one child is $1400.00.
